Cybersecurity 2020, Lightpath Business Tech Series
In early November, Lightpath hosted its inaugural Tech Series event, "Cybersecurity 2020," featuring expert speakers and panel discussions on cybersecurity topics that matter most to today’s business leaders.
With a full house of customers in attendance, this seminar included an eye-opening keynote by Chris Tarbell, one of the most successful cybersecurity law enforcement officials of all time. The former FBI Special Agent, who took on the notorious cyber criminals, Anonymous and Silk Road, shared his extensive expertise in cybersecurity and computer forensics. Tarbell’s informative and shocking accounts detailed cyber threats modern businesses have faced and the innovative and complex methods needed to track and apprehend offenders. His accounts were rounded out with valuable suggestions on how to best protect businesses and prepare for future risks.
Following the keynote, Emmy-nominated News 12 Long Island reporter, Eileen Lehpamer, led an illuminating panel discussion with leading industry experts on cybersecurity. Joining Chris Tarbell were Gary Sockrider of NetScout, Nodir Nazarov of Lightpath, and Gary Goltzman of Cisco. The panelists leveraged their years of expertise and shared ideas concerning cybersecurity in 2020, and the strategies businesses need to employ to remain safe and reduce risk from malicious cyber threats.
